Artist's Description

A commentary on wildlife conservation and climate change in the form of a surrealist black and white photograph of a rain-soaked elephant crossing an asphalt two-lane road. The pouring rain, the migration across the man-made blacktop road to an unseen destination, the lack of an accompanying herd, the dreariness of the scene, and the elephant's forlorn direct gaze at the human observing him are all part of the symbolism I incorporated into the work to bring awareness to the plight of these beautiful, majestic animals, as well as the rest of us. Please visit my The Zoo art gallery to see more of my animal artwork.
