"You Know How to Thistle, Don't You Steve?"
A selective color photograph of wild purple thistle flowers on a black and white background blooming in my Chester County PA garden. The title is me having fun with the classic line from the film "To Have and to Have Not" starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, in the scene where Bacall asks Bogey if he knows how to whistle. She informs him, "You just put your lips together and blow," and Bogey certainly does, with raised brows. It's no wonder, they met making the film and Bogey was immediately smitten. They were subsequently married for the rest of Bogey's life. Being one of my favorite classic films, I thought I'd give it a little nod since the opportunity arose. Please visit my Contemporary Botanicals art gallery to see more of my floral artwork.
