A digital art Celtic knot tree with a blood red heart representative of the blood shed throughout my Irish ancestry. I am the great grand niece of James Connolly, the leader of the Irish Easter Rising of 1916, and created this in tribute to him and all the great men who fought (and died) with him. Though seen as a hero they sing songs about today, my grandmother, whose mother was Mary Connolly, was sent by herself to the United States at the age of 13 because her family felt the ties of her ancestry made it too dangerous for her to stay in Ireland.
