A noir black-and-white nature photograph of a single narcissus flower bud taken in my Chester County, PA garden in early spring just after the rain. The bud is adorned with but a single raindrop, and what is actually my winter ravaged garden appears as storm clouds due to a combination of desaturation and the bokeh of the vintage f/1.4 prime lens used to take the photo, it is not an added texture. Just love the dark but hopeful moodiness of this one. Perfectly captures the feeling of coming out of the Covid storm... hopefully a beautiful garden blooming in full living color is just over the horizon. Please visit my Contemporary Botanicals to see more of my floral artwork, and my Black, White and in Between art gallery for more grayscale photography.
